When A White Woman Gets Berated For Her Skin Color, Bystanders React And Restore Our Faith In Humanity
If you witnessed a stranger being berated for the color of his or her skin, how would you react? The ABC hidden camera show, What Would You Do? put this question to the test by placing professional actors in a predominantly black barbershop in Harlem. One played a black, male customer, another played a black female barber, and the third played the man's white girlfriend.
As the hairdresser verbally abused the white woman, simply because of the color of her skin and that she was dating a black man, other customers (unaware of the cameras, or the set up) reacted in ways that will certainly restore your faith in the goodness within people, and may even move you to tears (especially toward the end).
