Volunteers Teach Zumba Fitness To Senior Citizens
These seniors have some moves! Volunteers in Singapore know the importance of exercise and daily movement, especially for the elderly. Because many of them have ailments, it's not easy for seniors to exercise or attend fitness classes. Jacqueline Tan started Get Movin' for Charity to bring exercise and fitness to them! Volunteers can hold their own Zumba Gold classes at various senior centers.
Volunteers teach Zumba to seniors, providing them with a fun, safe and effective workout. If you aren't familiar with Zumba, it combines dance and exercise to get a fun workout! "We have seen tremendous improvement in the elderly we work with, not just physically and mentally, but socially as well," says Jacqueline.
It's so heartwarming to see volunteers using their time to give back to the community in this way. You can see how effective it is just in this video. They are having a great time and getting their exercise. Physical activity will make them healthier and happier!
