UN Foundation Program Empowers Girls Across The Globe
Today is International Day of The Girl and this organization is helping shape our future generation of girls.
Founder of Stanford University's Girl Up program, Priyanka and her fellow members are teaching young women that no matter your circumstance you can become a leader. Their mission states, "Girl Up is an innovative campaign of the United Nations Foundation. We give American girls the opportunity to become global leaders and channel their energy and compassion to raise awareness and funds for United Nations programs that help some of the world's hardest-to-reach adolescent girls."
The student group was founded in September 2015, under the Society for International Affairs at Stanford (SIAS). For more information on the United Nations Foundation campaign Girl Up, visit: http://www.girlup.org/.
