The 'Property Brothers' Link Up With Habitat For Humanity To Build Homes and Hope
You've probably heard of Habitat for Humanity, an incredible organization that's helped millions of people across the world build and restore homes since 1976. But you might not have heard of Habitat's new campaign called Home is the Key.
Home is the Key is a nationwide effort to rally communities together to build new homes for deserving families, and the campaign has some star-power behind it: Jonathan and Drew Scott, better known as The Property Brothers on HGTV, have attached their names to the campaign and will help design and create some amazing new homes.
In this video, the campaign and its celebrity spokespeople are in Nashville to help two moms build new homes in a family-friendly neighborhood, alongside dozens of local volunteers.
"Everyone deserves to have a beautiful home," Jonathan Scott says, "something that they can smile at every morning when they wake up and something they feel happy about when they lay their head down at the end of the night."
You can watch as Nashville moms Ashlee and Amanda participate in the construction of their homes ("I can't believe I'm actually holding a wall!" says Ashlee), and then reflect on how these new houses will change their lives.
"I'm gonna cry," Amanda says about when she gets to walk into her home for the first time. "It's gonna let me know that everything I went through, it was worth it."
