Terminally Ill Fan's Wish Comes True When He Receives Call From His Biggest Hero
We all have heroes whom we admire.
For Daniel Downing, his hero is Ryan Reynolds and loves the Marvel movies Deadpool and The Green Lantern.
Just last week Daniel was diagnosed with a inoperable brain tumor. Reynolds heard about the five-year-olds condition and decided to take some time out of his day to talk to him. Reynolds first called Daniel and once Daniel realized who it was, immediately asked Reynolds to Facetime.
Of course, Reynolds accepted on the spot and the two Facetimed for about fifteen minutes. Reynolds showed him around the set of Deadpool 2 and got the crew to wave to him. Daniel's parents are very grateful to Reynolds for talking fifteen minutes out of his day to make Daniel smile.
The family is spending as much time with Daniel as they can and a friend of the family even started a JustGiving page to help fundraise for the family. So far, they have raised about fifteen thousand pounds. To donate to their cause, visit the page here.
