Tennis Player Runs Marathon; Raises Over $80,000 For Kids

Some people, including her family, said Caroline Wozniacki was crazy when she expressed wanting to run in New York City Marathon. The professional tennis player signed up for the marathon with no hesitation. "I think you need to be a little crazy," she told USA Today, "but in a good way. Shortly after she signed up for the race she had been set up with Team for Kids, a charity that funds local and national fitness programs. The athlete who had never run more than 13 miles at time, finished the 26.2-mile marathon in an impressive time of 3:26:33. What's even cooler, she raised more than $81,000 for Team for Kids. You go girl!
