Teen Gets A Heartwarming "Sign" From Deceased Father
16-year-old Ashlynn Marracino lost her father in 2010 due to a brain aneurysm. Every year on his birthday she sends him a hand-written message on a balloon. This year she sent him a letter expressing how much she misses him and asked for a sign that he received the letter. "I've been playing softball for 11 years now. Can you believe it? I Hope you helped me out with all those home runs," Ashlynn wrote to her father on the balloon. "I don't like how I never had you in my life. It's not fair. Show me a sign please. Anything to let me know you're there. I miss you so much and I want you back." The deflated balloon was found outside a restaurant over 400 miles away. Lisa Swisley found the balloon and reached out to Ashlynn on Facebook. Lisa had recently started a "Pay It Forward" page on Facebook and shared Ashlynn's story on there. Cards and packages came pouring in and with this she got a sign from her father. "I told him to show me a sign, and I think this is a sign to not hold grudges and to forgive really easily," Ashlynn said. The teen finally got the response she had been needing all these years.
