Siblings Separated At Birth Reunite After 50 Years!
This is a beautiful reunion for the memory book! 50-year-old Jacqui Ochoa always wondered about her family. Left on a minister’s doorstep when she was only four days old, Ochoa was in a children’s home for a year until she was adopted into a loving home. Her adoptive parents were very open about what happened, and even provided her with the original article that made its way into the local news.
Going off that article and a police report sent to her by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, Jacqui was determined to meet the siblings referenced in the note that was left with her when she was abandoned. And they weren’t far behind; turns out one of them, Victoria Costa, was already looking for her and discovered that Jacqui was searching for her, too. Also, like Jacqui, Victoria and brother Eric Conger were also abandoned by their folks in a police car nine months before Jacqui’s birth when they were seventeen months and two-years-old, respectively.
The similar clues in both abandonments and Jacqui’s request from the courts to find her siblings ten years prior, finally brought the siblings back together. On February 26, Jacqui, Victoria and Eric were finally reunited in Lake Forrest, California, at their paternal half-sister Katrina's house. And what a reunion it was!
"As wonderful as it was for me and how cool it was that we found each other, it was really a lot for Jacqui to take in," Victoria told ABC News laughing. What a remarkable reunion!
