Oktoberfest in the U S of A? Sure, why not!
Beer, beer, beer! For those who love to travel, or love an excuse to have a cold beer, or both, then Oktoberfest might be the celebration for you! Dating all the way back to the early 1800s, the festival began when Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen in Germany. Munich citizens were invited to attend the celebrations and festivities. Horse races were held for the royal family, and with the success of the races, they decided to continue the tradition year after year. The festival continues to be celebrated today, but not just in Germany. And not just in October! Many Oktoberfests actually happen in September. Here are some of the spots besides Munich, Germany that are having Oktoberfests in October here in the U S of A . . . Yum . . .We’re thinking of visiting some of these here at HooplaHa, how about you?
