Middle-Schooler Invents Life-Saving Car Device
Andrew Pelham was in fifth-grade when he thought of a simple and inexpensive device to save children from being left in hot cars.
Andrew's EZ Baby Saver is fashioned out of duct tape and rubber bands. When attached to the driver's seat of a car and the interior door handle, the device acts like an alarm system reminding the driver getting out of the car to ask if anyone is "still strapped in the back seat?"
