Loyal Customers Pitch In To Save Local Restaurant
Annie's Clark Brunch is a neighborhood hot spot. The restaurant is located near Clark University, so it draws in locals as well as university students on a regular basis. When Ann Jenkins found out that her beloved restaurant was in need of repairs that would cost her at least $50,000. She needed to bring her kitchen, grill and fire system up to code. She was devastated knowing that she couldn't spend that much money. However, it wasn't over yet. Many long-time loyal customers decided to step up and help their favorite local spot.
With a fundraising page already in place, people have donated from all over the world to help save the restaurant. But why are so many people wanting to help this small business stay open?
“Annie has given of herself and taken care of students for so many years. Now it’s a chance for them to give back and show her their love and their gratitude,” Jack Foley, an administrator at Clark and an Annie’s regular, said.
Annie's will be closing for renovations soon and is hoping to reopen before the next school semester beings so that she can get back to doing what she loves, serving good food and putting smiles on her customers' faces!
