Marianne is a Lowell, Massachusetts native who loves to commute to work on her bike. She is a self-proclaimed “winner” at commuting. Marianne says bike commuting has given her endless possibilities in her life, enriching her love for photography and enabling her to engage with the local community.

A Teacher's Passion For The Constitution Changes Her Students' Lives

** To celebrate National Teacher's Day, OGTV is sharing this inspiring story about a teacher who strives each day to teach her students about the relevance of the Constitution in our daily lives. **

For the past 7 years, Trumbull High School's We The People: The Citizen and the Constitution Program, under the leadership of Social Studies Teacher Katie Boland, has won the We The People state championship title.

With more than 28 million students and 75,000 educators who have participated in the Program since its inception in 1987, that's a tremendous feat. This past year the team also came home from the National Competition with the UNIT 3 AWARD or the award for the best non-finalist team for expertise in each unit of competition (How Changes in the Constitution Have Furthered the Ideas in the Declaration of Independence).

Kirstie Ennis - US Marine Helicopter Gunner, Amputee, Athlete, and Model

** OGTV's final GOOD STORY of the week is about a woman who served in the Marines and rebounded from being severely wounded in the field to overcome hardship and become an inspiration and role model. **

Marine Kirstie Ennis grew up with military parents and always knew she would join the Marine Corps and it was no surprise when she did at 17. She became a Helicopter Door Gunner, "...the most bad to the bone job in the Marine Corps you can possibly have."

While she was serving in Afghanistan, a mission to transport fellow Marines and supplies became a life-changer. Kirstie's copter crashed and she suffered multiple injuries, including the loss of her leg.
