HooplaHa GIVE-AWAY: 2 Tickets To 'Gathering of the Vibes,' A Music Festival For The Family

Have you been to a music festival this year yet? If you haven't, you should. As each summer passes it's becoming more and more of a bucket-list item. As an attendee of Bonnaroo in June, I can personally vouch that they're a good time. The good news is that they're not all done yet. Bonnaroo, Coachella and Firefly have come and gone but there's still time to make it to The Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, CT from July 25-28. And guess what! We're giving away TWO FOUR-DAY PASSES!! Read on to see how you and your whole family can have a blast at the festival this year.

Kids' Corner

Vibes

The Kid's Corner runs from 9:00am until sundown, and offers the following list of activities:

85 foot high Ferris wheel – Now in its 3rd year overlooking the Long Island Sound, kids of all ages can view this majestic site from 85 feet high in the sky. The Ferris wheel is located close to the Kids Corner.

Puppets – Kids are encouraged to enter the world of make believe and make a life size puppet. Puppet troupes will showcase an engaging performance each day. Puppet makers provide demos and hands on workshops for creating a puppet. Kids of proper age and size who can handle the puppets will be welcomed to bring them on a "walk about" for attendees to enjoy.

School of Rock Teen Vibes Stage – Check out some incredible performances from the School of Rock AllStars. Kids will also have an opportunity to jam with some of their heroes from the Main and Green Vibes stages. Those who are more interested in behind-the-scenes will get a chance to learn production, sound, and lighting from Vibes Production professionals.

Face Painting - Split Open and Melt face painting will provide the kids with free face painting. YAY face painting. I want Darth Maul.

Vibes

Everyone's Drumming - Don’t miss the special Drum workshop led by the rhythmic folks from "Everyone's Drumming" at their booth on the Main Concert Field, a long time vendor and supporter of The Vibes.

BioBus - The BioBus is a special bus that travels around educating kids & teens about science and the sea. There will be hands-on workshops including a walk down to the shore to study the marine life

Organized Team Sports - Weather permitting, kids can enjoy field style games such as kickball, capture the flag, bucket brigade, three legged races, and more.

Family Yoga - A great way to start the day and show our kids the importance of the mind body connection.

Puppet Parade and World Peace Ceremony

Vibes

On Sunday morning the Kids Tent and Teen Scene take a field trip over to the Green Vibes Stage for a special musical performance for families by Andy “The Music Man.” Immediately following the performance families join in a large parade with puppets, costumes, stilt walkers, musicians and lots of merriment to the Main Stage where everyone will partake in a World Peace Flag ceremony.

The 'Vibe Tribe' takes children's safety very seriously. Bring your child to the Kids Zone and staff will assign each child/parent a wristband and number. They will also take emergency contact info in the unlikely event guests become separated.
