We all have them, but what defines a guilty pleasure? I sat on the couch on a Monday night eating a bowl of ice cream and watching ABC's "Bachelor Pad" with my roommate/boyfriend who couldn't quite grasp why I enjoyed this somewhat pointless reality TV show so much. So I got to thinking, what else makes me happy, yet I deem a "guilty pleasure"
As mentioned already, I love me some good, wholesome ABC reality TV. Whether it’s a Bachelor or Bachelorette season, or the Bachelor Pad, I oddly enjoy the fake drama and hopeless romance in those two hours on Monday night. Anyone else count trashy TV as a guilty pleasure?
I know how bad it is for me. I’ve read the facts, I know the ingredients, and yet, sometimes there’s just nothing better tasting than an ice cold Diet Coke in a can with a straw.
Have you signed up for this addicting, time-warp platform? Basically, you can “pin” different items from all of the internet to boards. It’s an online version of ripping items from a magazine and pinning them to a bulletin board. Yes, I’ve spent hours on this site. The pleasure, though, are the amazing recipes I’ve brought to life from my screen.
Bethenny Frankel, the queen of all things SkinnyGirl, hit the jackpot, literally, when bottling her signature cocktails and putting them on the shelves. Whether we’re celebrating a friend’s engagement or simply enjoying margarita to complement taco night, I get way too much pleasure from this strong and satisfying beverage.
Guilty pleasures, whether they’re bad TV or an addicting internet site, exist for a reason. They make us happy and make us smile! Go enjoy a guilty pleasure today, even if you’re already feeling happy or smiling. Go after that extra smile!
