Teen Who's Been In Foster Care For 13 Years Finally Finds His Forever Home
Carson Petersen from Fresno, California has been in foster care for thirteen years and is finally being adopted.
Carson first entered foster care at the age of three after his mother took her own life. After being put into the care of his biological father at the age of eight, he ended up returning to foster care three short years later and he's been there ever since.
In 2014, Carson found Tex and Renee Petersen. Right from the start, the couple called Carson 'son,' which made him very happy. Right before the Christmas of 2016, he asked the couple to adopt him and Tex and Renee gladly accepted.
On June 30th, Carson was officially adopted into the Petersen family. He changed his last name and got a "bro" tattoo with the Petersen's only biological son. His other siblings, who are the age of two and four, are also adopted.
Carson is very happy in his new home and he is looking forward to starting a new life as a Petersen.
