Elderly Woman Leaves $4M Mansion To The Homeless
Not only was Lily Fardell a saint in life, she is also being recognized as one after she passed away. This Newcastle woman was deemed "Fair Lady Of The Hill" for her charitable acts in her long life. The 96-year-old left behind a legacy to inspire us all to give back.
Lily donated her $4 million estate and all of if contents to the homeless children in Newcastle. She wasn't able to have kids of her own, so she spent her life - and after - helping others. Her mansion and all of its contents will be auctioned off. The proceeds will go towards services for homeless children run by St Vincent de Paul.
"She couldn't have children of her own," her nephew, Michael Ellis said.
"But she loved children and left almost everything she had to a charity which supported them."
Her beautiful mansion will go on to to do more than just house children. This donation will go on change homeless children's lives!
