Cronut Creator Pays It Forward For Foodbank
I have to admit, I'm late to the cronut train. But I'm glad I know now about how Dominique Ansel created a half donut and half croissant that is so good, people are waiting hours in line for them. What drew me to the craze was a recent act beneficence by the creator. Rather than let the success of his pastry phenomenon get to his head, Ansel is paying it forward. He has pledged to raise money for the Food Bank of New York City by holding daily raffles for the cronuts and donating all proceeds from t-shirt sales.
Having experienced life without enough food, Ansel is eager to help alleviate the pains that come with unemployment having to wait until 4pm for your first meal.
