Cops Give Their Own Money To Help Homeless Family
It's one thing to do your job. It is another to go above and beyond what is expected of you. Police received calls about a family living in a parked SUV on a road in a Minnesota neighborhood. They grew to learn Kim Washington was living in the car with her three children and two grandkids, after fleeing from an abusive situation in Florida. When she returned home to Minnesota there were no shelters available, so the family remained in her SUV. Cops went to visit her and gave her enough money to stay in a hotel and gift cards for food. Once a local church caught wind of her story, they were able to give her room in a shelter.
