Bus Driver Stops At Lemonade Stand And Buys Drinks For Passengers
John Lohan is a MBTA bus driver in Massachusetts who decided to make an impromptu stop at a child-run lemonade stand last week. He asked the passengers aboard his bus if they wanted to stop and get a cup of lemonade, his treat!
“I said to them, ‘If any of you are in a hurry or need to make a connection, I’ll keep going,’” Lohan said.
With everyone nodding in approval, the bus pulled over in West Roxbury around 2:30 pm where Lohan stepped out to purchase the lemonade for 50 cents a cup. Lohan said he was pleased to see streetside lemonade is seemingly protected from inflation.
“I was surprised by that,” he said. “Decades ago, it was 50 cents. I thought it was a good deal.”
What a sweet man and gesture!
