Bullied Teen Turned CEO Is Changing The World
Jessica Abo is a television journalist, social activist and newfound YouTube personality who inspires and encourages people to be open about their challenges and all they have overcome. On her latest "Open Up Wednesday" segment she introduced us to Valerie Weisler. This remarkable 17-year-old is the founder and CEO of The Validation Project, an international organization committed to bringing teenagers together to use their unique talents to change the world. They give teenagers a chance to volunteer, be a part of something bigger, and mentor other teens. But this success did not come easy for Valerie. She went through years of being bullied at school. One day she finally realized if she was being bullied, so were other kids. She decided she had to make a difference. And boy, did she ever!
