Autistic Adult Proves Anything Is Possible After Working At Special Theater
We have another success story from The Prospector Theater, located in Ridgefield CT! The theater employs disabled adults to give them meaningful work and experience. In an effort to shine a light on special employees, they launched a new series of videos profiling these ‘Prospects.’ This week we meet the incredible coach that helps these Prospect’s learn, grow and shine.
Joe proves to us that we are only hindered by the limitations we put on ourselves. Joe has Autism and didn't always have luck finding work. Well - meaningful work that is. Since being employed at The Prospector Theater, he has excelled at being an usher, woking on the clean team, and even doing some graphic design work for the company. He is also working on a research paper in his free time. Joe has not always been social, but working at the theater has changed that. He has come out of his shell and proved anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
"I may have a disability but that doesn't mean I can't live the life any other person would," Joe explains.
