Actor Joins Non-Profit to Promote Reading in Children
I love when I come across stories about celebrities using their fame to help a good cause. In this instance, actor Josh Duhamel is dedicating his time to raise awareness for early education crisis with Jumpstart. Duhamel has become the celebrity ambassador for Jumpstart's Read for the Record Campaign. The non-profit aims to close the education gap and prepare low-income children for school. One of their many campaigns, Read for the Record, encourages children and adults to celebrate literacy in an effort to break the world record for the most people reading the same book on the same day.
