Based on tempo, popularity and lyrical content, they were able to make a complete playlist of songs that will make listeners work harder at the gym (or wherever you get your fitness on). Dr. Costas Karageorghis, deputy head of the Brunel program, adds that increasing the tempo of the music you listen to while exercising pushes your body to work harder, making the increase in effort hardly noticeable.
