3 Wedding Day Stories That Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes

The wedding day is one of the biggest days in a bride and groom's life. It's usually capped off with a huge celebration with their closest family members and friends, but unfortunately, sometimes special people can't be there. These 3 wedding day stories will bring tears to your eyes when you see how these deceased people were at these weddings in more than just spirit.

1) This Amazing Wedding Day Has Heart And Soul!

This woman had the spirit of her father walk her down the aisle on her wedding day thanks to the man who received his heart in an organ donation

Jeni Maenner's father was shot and killed in a robbery 10 years ago. Jeni's family decided to donate her father's organs when he died, and his heart went to a man named Arthur Thomas. With her wedding coming up, she was thinking of her father and also the man that now has his heart, Arthur. Jeni made the decision to contact Arthur, planning to ask him to walk her down the aisle. She was able to meet the man that now has her father's heart and he was more than happy to walk her down the aisle.

"I feel wonderful that I can be the vehicle that allows her to have him come back," Arthur said. Jeni's wedding was everything she could have imagined!

2) Watch a bride meet the man carrying her late son's heart on her wedding day

Bride Beckey Turney got the surprise of a lifetime on her special day when groom Kelly Turney surprised her with a last minute addition to their wedding party, Jacob Kilby, who received her late son…

Beckey Turney was surprised by her groom, Kelly Turney when he arranged for Jacob Kilby, the man who received Beckey's late son Triston's heart to attend their wedding. Triston passed at the age of 19 and was an organ donor, so Kelly planned for Jacob to attend their wedding, so a part of Triston would literally be there on her big day.

Meeting Jacob was quite the emotional experience for Beckey. "Hands down the best gift. Most amazing surprise ever!" Beckey said. "Thank you for caring for Triston's heart."

3) Watch the emotional moment mother dances with daughter's heart transplant recipient

Laurie Pierce's daughter Amanda died in a car accident four years ago. On that same night, Garrett Leopold's ailing heart failed. This spring, Laurie had the chance to dance with Garret, as Amanda's heart beat inside his body.

Laurie Pierce also got the chance to have her daughter Amanda with her on her wedding day. Amanda passed away in a car accident when she was 18 and on that same night, Garrett Leopold's heart failed. Amanda's heart was donated and saved Garrett's life. Laurie had the opportunity to share a dance with Garrett in honor of Amanda and both feel a special bond.

"Amanda was definitely there in spirit," Garrett said.

Veterinarian’s Home is Wildlife Rescue for Animals of All Kinds (Dr. Amy Jo’s Wild Life Part 2)

Outside of Fredericksburg, Texas, there's a 35 acre plot of land that might as well be called Dr. Amy Jo's Wild Habitat. A stroll on these grounds would put you face to face with raccoons, coyotes, cows, foxes, deer, skunks, rescue dogs, and even an African Oryx.

The glue that holds this menagerie together is the soothing presence of veterinarian Dr. Amy Jo Pilmer. "I seem to be able to calm them and they are very comfortable with me," she reflects. "My thought is because I spend so much time with them." Many of these animals were either rescued or brought to Amy when they were very young, and in many cases, near death. There was a baby deer that was found unresponsive on the side of the road and needed intravenous feeding to pull through. A Belted Galloway came to her with almost no control of her legs but has healed and grown under her watchful eyes. Numerous sick and ailing shelter dogs have recuperated on her ranch and gone on to find new, loving homes.

Healing seems to come naturally to Dr. Amy Jo and she particularly loves the care and nurturing of baby animals. But she also knows that inevitably those she rehabilitates will grow up and need to move on. "It's almost heartbreaking … it's like a kid when they turn 18," she reflected. "They don't want or need you anymore and they leave and go off to be their own animal."

Watch and meet Meatball, Fast Eddie and many of Amy Jo's other frisky critters and see what day-to-day life is like for a woman who seems to have a life giving touch, no matter what kind of a wild thing comes through her gate.

THE BIG DAY! - Today We Find Out The Sex Of The Baby! (The Creation Of Us E5)

In this episode of The Creation Of Us, Aydian and Jenilee will experience one of the most emotional milestones of a pregnancy - going for the ultrasound that will reveal to them the sex of their baby.

One of the most asked questions they have heard since they announced they were expecting is "Are you having a gender reveal party?" As a transgender couple, Aydian and Jenilee frequently need to explain their feelings about the words "sex" and "gender" in reference to their baby, and how important it is that these terms not be considered synonymous.

"Sex is biological," Aydian explains. "My sex is female but my gender is male. Gender is based on your inner feelings, how you want to be seen, and how you feel you are."

Jenilee adds that they won't know the gender of the baby for a while. "It can happen at any point. It's up to us to pick up on their cues. If it seems that the baby is not identifying with their sex, it's something to think about." The couple have a strong feeling that the little person they are bringing into the world should have the time to explore it for themselves and become whatever gender they choose to be.

During the ride for the ultrasound they, they excitedly discuss their expectations of what they will find out. Aydian doesn't have a strong feeling either way while Jenilee has an inkling of what she is about to learn.

What will it be? Join the couple for the big reveal and the emotional reactions when they tell their family and friends.

Chefs Honor Sailors and Their Families With a Holiday Feast to Remember (Random Acts of Cooking E1)

What would be a unique way to honor the service of 400 hungry sailors and their families for the holidays? You contact Chef Plum, have him round up his crew of top flight chefs and grill masters, bring in enough food to feed…well…the Navy, spice it up with a dash of top flight entertainment, and you have all of the ingredients for a memorable evening of food, love, and family!

This unique gathering is at the heart of this first episode of a new OnlyGood TV Series, Random Acts of Cooking. This series follows Chef Plum, an inspired chef who looks to spread the message of kindness and community through the power of food. In this debut episode, his team of chefs prepare and cook a special holiday meal at the US Navy Base in New London, Connecticut, while also teaching some of the sailors how to cook and use special techniques in the base galley.

"The universal language of happiness is food," Chef Plum explains. "That's what Random Acts of Cooking is - using that power to help other people and do something amazing with it."

Chief Petty Officer Jeremy Flake knows that being on active duty on a navy base, away from home, can be difficult for the sailors during the holidays. This event was a chance for the base community to share a wonderful meal as well as a special musical performance by American Idol 2015 winner Nick Fradiani. "To see all of the families come in, not just the sailors, it brings us together and today, makes us all whole," he said warmly.

Chef Plum uses his master culinary skills and his big heart to change people's lives using the connection that can only be achieved by sitting down around a table and sharing a meal with others. Watch his team go above and beyond to make this a night to remember for all of the sailors and their families.

After Dudeoir's Photoshoot Goes Viral He Marries His Photographer! (Beauty Redefined E4)

Wedding bells are ringing! In this very personal episode of Beauty Redefined, we join Tami Bears and Josh Varozza at Hagen Ranch, in Plattsville, California, as their families gather to celebrate the joining of this unique couple and the start of their lives as husband and wife.

Tami was the photographer and Josh was the subject of an offbeat calendar of light-hearted photos that struck a chord with people across the country. Josh, a big guy with tattoos and an incomparable beard, struck "seductive" poses for the camera clad in patriotic attire and this series of "dudeoir shots" quickly went viral. Josh became a role model for people struggling to love themselves and Tami became much more than just a friend...they fell in love and got engaged!

"We were spending a lot of time together," Tami recalled," and I really liked him and grew attached and I knew life was better with him." Josh and Tami's relationship has brought together their two 13 year-olds, Josh's son Tyler and Tami's daughter Lexie. "Having a blended family has been one of the most unique experiences in my life," Josh explains. "They fought like cat and dogs at the start but now they get along. It's kind of interesting, and kind of scary."

Lexie has nothing but positive things to say about Josh coming into her life. "I live with them and I see everything that goes on behind the scenes," she shared. "He loves her and treats her so well. I couldn't have picked anyone better for her!"

Come along and see the fun and sweet elements that make up a wedding-- the vows, the first dance, the speeches and of course, the party! Josh and Tami describe their wedding as "non-traditional" so be ready for some surprises!

Adorable Rescued Dogs Meet Their New Families (A Dog’s Journey Home E5)

The excitement has been building for weeks for over 40 families from all over the country who have gathered in Madison, Wisconsin to finally meet, in person, the dogs they have fallen in love with from watching their videos posted by Tracy.

In this episode of "A Dog's Journey Home", a very special batch of dogs, many who have been with the Tracy's Dogs team for a long time, finally arrive in Madison for the first day of their lives with their new families. They have traveled 1,262 miles and for some, it was difficult to leave the caring and loving environment of the Tracy's Dogs facility in San Antonio.

"This is the most unique group of dogs we have ever rolled out on the road with," Scott reflects. And it's not easy for Scott's daughters, Sara and Jenna, who have spent so many hours caring and nurturing these pups, to let go. "There are a lot of dogs that are really hard to part with," Sara explained. "Our long stay dogs, you really get attached to them. Once they get adopted, we get really excited but it's also really hard … we shared lots of tears dropping the dogs off but we know they are going to a good place."

Here are some of Scott's thoughts about a few of the special dogs you will meet in this episode:

Meatball – "I call him Meathead….very lovable…he's the only dog who can overheat in 65 degree weather"

Peg – "Miss Congeniality on three legs … sweetheart"

Nellie – "Will drive you to drink but you'll love her every step of the way… perfect companion"

Watch the smiles and tears as Scott hands off each dog and then reflects on the great work by his team. "I'm just really glad all 40 have of them have homes now. That's why we work so hard. It's a rescue…we're saving lives!"

Blind Waiter Serves Up Diner Classics and Life Lessons

The flickering neon sign reflects eerily off the aging, chrome exterior; a long smooth marble counter with spinning stools draws your gaze left and right as you enter; the checkered linoleum floor seeps under the rows of back-to-back leather booths enveloped by the rain streaked wrap-around windows. You may think you've entered a typical American roadside eatery, but your experience here will be anything but ordinary.

You have just stepped into the Bendix Diner, a staple in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey since the 1940's. It's no surprise that The Bendix can serve up a sizzling Burger with deep fried onion rings and a frothy chocolate shake. What is unique about this meal is the waiter who delivers it to your table – his name is John Diakakis, and he is blind.

John was born with Retinitis Pigmentosa. RP is a rare genetic disorder that involves the breakdown and loss of cells in the retina. John could still see shadows in his early teens while working in his parents' restaurant in New York City, but his condition was deteriorating steadily. Despite the hardship, John was an excellent student and Senior Class President at North Rockland High School. John continued his studies at Ithaca College where he studied Psycology and Business and had a great experience." It was a lot of fun," he recalled. "Being around so many diverse people and different personalities made the best [of me] come out."

After college, John felt the urge to return to the family business and worked alongside his brother, mother and dad, but as he aged, things became darker, the shadows vanished, and by the time he turned 30 he was completely blind. This was also a turbulent time of highs and lows during which John met the woman he would marry while at the same time his father passed away, increasing his responsibilities at The Bendix.

Dedicating himself to his family and his work, John took over a lead role at the diner while he and his wife raised three boys. The oldest, Tony, who was recently accepted to Harvard University, has worked with his parents over the years and has watched his Dad cope with his condition with positivity and hard work.. "Noticing my Dad's lack of fear when faced with his daily challenges provided a blue print for me that I applied to my own life," he reflected. "He's never been afraid to try new things and has been a great leader."

The Bendix may seem like a time capsule from years gone by, but it continues to thrive. Meet the hard working family that keeps its spirit alive and the blind waiter that helps you see what it means to live a meaningful life.
