16-Year-Old Cancer Patient Stuns Crowd With Her "Fight Song"
Calysta Bevier seems like your average 16-year-old. The sophomore at Ohio's Otsego High School loves to sing, dance and cheer. What makes this young lady different? Her fight to live. The teen has been fighting a rare form of ovarian cancer. She has had to undergo chemotherapy and in result lost her hair. But she doesn't care... too much.
“I try to stay pretty positive,” she told ABC13. “The hardest part was losing my hair, but now that it's gone everyone is like ‘You look so good bald,’ so it doesn't bother me too much. It kind of distracts me from the negative parts of everything so all the support has helped me stay positive.”
Calysta wowed the audience at a recent cancer benefit. She sang 'Fight Song' leaving everyone speechless and chill ridden. She dedicated the song to her dad, a firefighter, and another cancer patient. She also wants anyone who needs a reminder to know to never give up, to never stop fighting!
