Young Girl Went To Disney To Fulfill Wish Of Sick Classmate
The Make-A-Wish foundation is known for making dreams come true. For terminally ill children, the foundation brings them joy through surprises. Though this story is extremely sad, it is also extremely beautiful.
Levi Mayhew, 6, suffers from a condition called Zellweger spectrum. Since his diagnosis Levi can no longer walk, talk or sit up on his own. But he's a fighter. Make-A-Wish approached him with the opportunity to have his wish of going to Disney World granted.
Instead of going to Disney World, he asked that his wish be given to his friend Emma. The two used to go to school together and Emma was one of the few people who could make Levi really happy. After Levi left school, Emma continued writing him letters. The two had a beautiful bond, and Emma truly cared about Levi and his well being.
Make-A-Wish not only transferred the trip over to Emma, but per Levi's wish, they also threw a surprise party in which Emma would be given her trip. When Emma saw Levi they both got really happy and emotional. Emma went to Disney in honor of her sick friend. She carried a cut out of Levi and took pictures with it; so it was like he was there. God Bless you both!
