"Yarn Storming" Brings Color And Happiness To Big Cities
Some creative yarn-artists have been decorating city streets all around the world with colorful creations.
This unique type of graffiti, called "yarn storming" or "guerrilla knitting", originated in the US but has been found in places such as Spain, Germany, Australia, Russia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
A popular yarn storming group in the United Kingdom is Knit the City , a group who has done both charitable and aesthetic work to decorate London.
"You needn’t be a member of any official yarn storming crew to spread woolly joy through your environment, just someone with a desire to bring unexpected colour to the world around you. There are no rules to abide when yarn storming, but the impact always aims to be positive and peaceful without harming anyone else."
