Woman With Dementia Defies Diagnosis
Christine Bryden was 46 when she was diagnosed with dementia and given a devastating prognosis. But in the 20 years she's lived with the disease she's baffled doctors by earning an advanced degree, writing several books, and giving lectures to change the negative perception of dementia sufferers who she believes "are stigmatized and disempowered."
Bryden, of Australia, told ABC news that she credits her " family, religious faith and medication for her survival.
