Vince Gill Put Together 100,000 Meals for the Hungry!
Vince Gill is warming our hearts with his latest volunteer efforts. This special performer put others' needs before his own. Last weekend, 500 people volunteered to put together meals for the hungry at Stop Hunger Now’s new Nashville, TN location. Among them was famed country singer Vince Gill, who was more than happy to help pack up a whopping 100,000 meals.
“You see a lot of these people around here trying to help their fellow man – and doing the things that we all should do to help one another out around the world,” Gill tells WKRN News.
Stop Hunger Now is a non-profit organization that started back in 2006. Since then, they’ve shipped more than 15 million meals from 19 locations throughout the U.S. Their goal this year is to send out 1.1 million packages. We think they’re off to a fantastic start!
