Two Senators Get Lost To Prove Unity Is Possible

It's not every day you hear about a Democrat and a Republican having the same views. Well these two senators voluntarily exiled themselves to an island in the North Pacific to prove Washington can work together. Sen. Martin Heinrich, a New Mexico Democrat, and Sen. Jeff Flake, a Republican from Arizona, had to work together to survive on an island. Discovery Channel filmed the experiment for a TV special, "Rival Survival," which will air Wednesday, October 29. It is really refreshing to hear the lengths they are willing to go to prove a point. They want the country to know it is possible for Washington to work together, peacefully. Neither man was paid for participating in this experiment and each paid their own way. They both learned things from each other and learned a lot from being on the island together.
