This Judge And Her Adorable Blind Pug Make A Perfect Pair
Mikey the pug arrived at the Michigan Humane Society with severe glaucoma and a lot of eye pain. Mikey soon had to have both his of eyes removed to eliminate the pain, and after he underwent surgery, his life took a turn for the best.
Sabrina Johnson is a district judge who connected with Michigan Pug Rescue and found Mikey. When Johnson and Mikey first met each other, it was love at first sight.
Johnson said Mikey is very similar to her.
"He loves to run, he loves to eat and he loves to relax. So he's a lot like me," Johnson said.
Mikey also comes to work with Johnson and makes new friends.
“When people meet him, they melt. I’ve seen very tough police officers just get down on their hands and knees, just play with him,” Johnson said. “He brightens everyone’s day.”
Mikey is now two years old and fully recovered from his surgery.
“I got him from rescue, and he really rescued me,” Johnson said. “He’s just the love of my life.”
