This Cheetah And Pet Dog Are The Best Of Friends
Forget the fox and the hound, the cheetah and the shepherd are the newest forever friends!
Despite being complete opposites, these two animals in Greenwich, CT have become the best of friends. Leo Zoological Conservation Center is home to the cutest, most unlikely pair of friends. When now 1-year-old cheetah cub, Adaeze, was born to a litter of eight cubs, it was too much for Mama Cheetah to take on. Poor Adaeze was left out until Odie, a 7-year-old shepherd mix was made Adaeze’s “fill-in companion dog.” The two are inseparable. They don't see species or breed, they just see friendship and love.
“He just has her challenged, mentally and physically,” the Center's Director told News 12 Connecticut. “They’re just total companions. Odie belongs to Adaeze for sure.”
Adaeze and Odie both reside at the center and are its ambassador pair. They travel to different events to educate the public about wildlife conservation.
