These Five Friends Have Attended Every. Single. Super. Bowl. Ever.
As seen on NBC News
Back in 1967, when that first Super Bowl was known as the "AFL-NFL World Championship Game," a group of friends were five of the 60,000-plus football fans that got to see the Green Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10. Little did they know that they were witnessing history in the making and that for the next 50 years they would attend every Super Bowl game together.
The "Super Bowl Five" Sylvan Schefler, Lew Rappaport, Al Schragis, Larry McDonald and Harvey Rothenberg head to the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas this weekend to see the Atlanta Falcons take on the New England Patriots.
Winners no matter which team wins - "We're devoted to each other, and we're devoted to the Super Bowl," Rothenberg said.
Have a wonderful time at the game, gentlemen!
