Teen Brings Little Sister With Cancer To His First High School Dance
When a South Dakota teen chose his date for a school dance, his decision made his family overwhelmed with joy. AJ Spader decided to ask him little sister Rebekah, 10, to be his date to his first high school dance. Rebekah is battling cancer and AJ wanted to give her this incredible memory. Since she is sick, AJ fears she may never have the chance to experience her own school dances.
"He came to us and said, 'Rebekah might not get to go to her own dance,'" AJ's mother, Stephanie Spader, told ABC News today. "He wanted to give her that experience."
In case, he wanted to give her a night she will never forget. The whole family got involved. Her hair was done, she picked out the perfect dress, she even wore a tiara. This is one night no one in the family will ever forget!
