Taylor Swift Donates Proceeds Of New Song To NYC Schools
Taylor Swift's new album "1989" is doing really well. This is not only good news for Swift but also for New York City Public Schools.
One of the songs on the new album is entitled, "Welcome to New York." It was inspired by her recent move to Tribeca and her love for the City and it's uniqueness. The artist recently announced that all of her proceeds from this song are going to New York City Public Schools.
Swift was recently named a "Global Welcome Ambassador" for New York City Tourism. Her album is currently #1 on iTunes leading us to believe the donation to New York could be quite substantial.
