The birth of Bea Joy Segales drew applause and cheers from a crowd of survivors and medics in a typhoon-ravaged airport. 21-year-old, Emily Ortega, gave birth to her daughter after swimming through flood waters, alone, and clinging to a post. The odds were stacked against Ortega, who was alone in an evacuation center when a storm surge hit. She found the strength to survive and eventually found safety at an airport in the city of Tacloba in the Philippines,.
