"Seeds of Happiness" Has Created Thousands of Smiles, And Yours Could Be Next!
Art has a special way of putting a smile on our faces—especially when the art itself is smiling!
Artist Mark Borella knew the healing power of even the simplest artworks, and put that knowledge into action back in 2006 when he started using leftover clay from his sculpting work to create mini-faces with big smiles. He handed out these small sculptures to any friends who were going through a hard time. And then a few of those friends started telling other friends. And those other friends told yet more friends. And all of a sudden, Seeds of Happiness was famous!
Thanks to the power of social media, images of Seeds of Happiness had spread across the country and then across the world. Mark soon launched Seeds of Happiness for retail sale (although he still gives lots of them out for free). Mark's little creations have put a smile on thousands of people's faces, from North America to Africa to Australia.
In this original video, we visit with Mark and the people he works with. They all say that working for Seeds of Happiness is a little bit like receiving one of the sculptures; it just puts a smile on your face!
Given how compassionate and creative Mark is, this is no big surprise. To learn more about Seeds of Happiness, visit their website.
