Restaurant Owner With Down Syndrome Inspires Special Theater Employees
You may remember our video about Tim Harris, the owner of Tim's Place. Tim's Place is known for being the "World's Friendliest Restraurant." Tim, who has Down syndrome offers hugs to all his customers... and even uses them to raise money for charity. Tim is such an inspriing person!
Tim recently visited The Prospector Theater, located in Ridgefield CT which employs disabled adults to give them meaningful work and experience. In an effort to shine a light on special employees, they launched a new series of videos profiling these ‘Prospects.’ This week we meet the incredible coach that helps these Prospect’s learn, grow and shine.
Tim was able to talk with employees at the theater and show them that anything is possible. Since Prospectors mission is to set up disabled adults for success, Tim is the perfect example. Tim is the only restaurant owner, in the country, with Down syndrome. He expresses how this theater is the ideal place for disabled adults to grow, learn and train.
"This theater will help teach them to be independent and get new jobs. This theater is awesome for people to work at. We become one big family," Tim says.
