R.I.P The Amazing David Bowie; All Proceeds To Benefit Cancer Research
We are shocked with the news of musical icon David Bowie's passing. Bowie, one of the most influential musicians of all time, died surrounded by his family following a "courageous 18-month battle with cancer". Bowie's cancer diagnosis was not made public until after his death. The singer released his 25th studio album, Blackstar, just a few days prior to coincide with his 69th birthday.
To make the world a better place, even after death, all profits from sales of David Bowie albums in January will be donated to Cancer Research UK. The website for independent record label and music shop Rough Trade crashed soon after the announcement. The label was one of those to pay tribute to Bowie, announcing they will be "Honouring the Artist. Not commodity. F**k cancer." Rough Trade confirmed all profits from David Bowie recordings will be donated to the cancer charity.
R.I.P David Bowie. Thank you. You will truly be missed!
