Policemen Personally Buy Back Couple's Wedding Ring From Pawn Shop
Cornwall, Ontario police responded to a call at the home of an elderly couple. They quickly learned the wife suffered from dementia and the husband was having trouble handling the stress of the disease and financial problems.. The husband recently had to pawn his wedding ring just to afford groceries. The policemen quickly decided to help. They went above and beyond their call of duty to get together money to help the couple. They raised $150 for groceries and another $130 for the ring at a local pawn shop. The officers who helped are expected to receive a commendation for their act of kindness.
