At Pet Rescue USA, Extra Effort To Pair Dogs And Forever Families Pays Off Big
Pairing a pup with his or her forever home is no simple task. Just like matchmaking between two humans, it takes time to understand what both sides are looking for from a relationship, and to identify the most important characteristics in each.
At Pet Rescue USA in Harrison, New York, potential adopters come in looking for all kinds of different dogs. So it's up to the organization to look closely at both the adoptive family and at the dogs up for adoption, to make the perfect match that ensures that both sides will be thrilled and happy for the long-term.
"They ask you a lot of questions," says Elise Soulier, who came to Pet Rescue USA to find a pup. "They really want the dogs to go to a good home. And they work with you to find the right dog for your family."
Part of the preparation that the dogs go through is family-oriented training, so that they can fit in and contribute to the household that they're joining. We love and appreciate the work that Pet Rescue USA is doing, to go above and beyond to pair dogs with their forever homes!
