Pace 4 Kids Dance Marathon Raises Over $30,000 For Local Hospital
I am fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work as the Food Manager of Pace University's Second Annual Pace 4 Kids Dance Marathon. Pace is one of hundreds of universities across the nation who raise money for their local hospitals. In this case, Pace's local hospital is Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. This 12 hour dance filled event is a celebration of the end of the fundraising year. We had so many sponsors who helped make this event possible, it really is a community effort. We also had tons of volunteers who were lending a helping hand from the beginning to the last garbage bag being tossed out at the end of the night.
At the end of the event we were able to reveal that we had passed our goal of raising 30k! The event was for the families and kids who are connected to the hospital. We also had tons of University students who helped raise money on their own. The video below was created by a Pace student and highlights some of the fun we had the night of the event.
This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I would definitely recommend getting involved with this organization. If your/your kid's university doesn't have their own Dance Marathon yet you can look into starting one here.
