Operation 300's Weekend Retreats For Kids Of Fallen Soldiers
When her brother, Aaron Carson Vaughn, was shot down in 2011 during a mission in Afghanistan, Tara Baldwin was inspired to help the children who, like her niece and nephew, were left without their father. To honor the ultimate sacrifice soldiers make and to support their families, and the thousands of children left to live with grief, Tara founded Operation 300, a non-profit organization that provides children who have lost their fathers in military combat opportunities to camp, hike, play sports and do the fun things they would have done with their own dads with other supportive role models. Nothing can replace what they lost, but love, family and fun are some of lives best remedies!
If you would like to learn more about Operation 300 and the support they provide children who have sacrificed their own fathers for our safety, check out their website, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
