NYC's Biggest Pizza Party Helps Feed The Hungry
New York City is known for its delicious pizza. This week's Chicken Soup For The Soul Moment brings you pizza that is not only tasty but that is helping end hunger, too. At Slice Out Hunger, you only have to pay a dollar — and it's all for a great cause. Slice Out Hunger is an annual event hosted by Scott Wiener of Scott's Pizza Tours. Pizza lovers can taste their favorite pies from more than 50 pizzerias from New York City! In it's sixth year running, Slice Out Hunger had more than 1,250 pizza pies and raised an estimated $25,000 for the Food Bank For New York City. That's 150,000 meals for the hungry across all five boroughs.
