NBA Player Gives Special Gift To A Deserving Single Mom
Russell Westbrook, point guard for the Oklahoma Thunder, surprised a single mother of two with a band new Kia Sorento.
Kerstin Gonzales cried tears of joy when Westbrook came in and gave her keys to her new car. Westbrook had won the car after being named the MVP of February's All-Star game.
“When you see somebody working hard towards a goal and finding ways every day to keep everything afloat for her two boys and her family, you can’t do anything, but help them out," Westbrook said.
Westbrook said that he would pay Gonzales' insurance for the first year as well as other fees, such as registration.
“Today was a stepping stone in showing her that everything is going to be alright," Westbrook said.
