Meet Morticia! A Corpse Flower
I flew almost 400 miles to meet her, so I thought I'd share with you, folks!
This is Morticia, a "corpse" flower, so named because of the dreadful odor she emits when in bloom (like something rotting!). She lives at the Franklin Park Zoo in Franklin, Massachusetts, is more than feet tall and five feet wide, and only stays in bloom for two days. Today is the last day to see her in bloom, so if you want to see her in person, put it on your calendar for 15 years from now. She won't bloom again until then!
