Last Known 9/11 Rescue Dog Celebrates Birthday Of A Lifetime
Today marks 14 years since 9/11. While we honor all heroes, one very special responder gets a greatly deserved birthday celebration! Bretagne is the last known surviving search and rescue dog who worked ground zero. The precious pup celebrates her 16th birthday soon! The city of New York wanted to give her a day she would never forget!
BarkPost and 1 Hotel Central Park were in on the celebration and flew Bretagne and her handler Denise Corless from Texas Task Force 1 to NYC. To honor and thank the duo they were set up in a doggy suite at 1 Hotel Central Park. Bretagne was showered with gifts, room service and TONS of attention! She spent time in Central Park and even got to see her very own billboard dedication in Times Square. She was given a special silver bone and ended the day at a birthday party at the hotel.
This is a day the two heroes will never forget! It can only begin to pay them back for their heroic service.
