Kids' Lemonade Stand Raises Money For Dallas Police Officers
When tragedy strikes, we put our faith in humanity to pull us through. Two young girls have helped restore our faith and have shown us the power in being kind. Lauren Roach, 12, and Landry Nelon, 11, know how to turn lemons into smiles! These young girls used a lemonade stand to raise $10,000 in two days for the officers who lost their lives in Dallas. Over the course of a weekend, the girls sold about 20 gallons of lemonade as well as other treats. Their stand was accompanied with colorful posters and huge smiles to attract customers.
“At first we thought we would get about $100, but after we got to about $5,000, we realized we could really get this really high up,” Lauren told NBC DFW. Thank you, girls!
