Keith Richards Is Working On A Children's Book
(Source: New York Times ArtsBeat)
Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones is delving into his early years again, after his extensive autobiography Life (2010), to create a children's book about a very special relationship with his maternal grandfather. At age 70, Richards embraces the role as a grandfather now and knows firsthand how strong the bond can be between child and grandparent. The book, Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar, is due September 9 with illustrations by Richard's daughter, Theodora Dupree Richards, namesake for this beloved family member. Theodore Augustus Dupree was a jazz musician who encouraged Richards to pick up the instrument and the rest, of course, is history.
