Karma Kitchen: Where No One Pays For Their Own Meal
Imagine going out to lunch and getting a bill for $0. Welcome to Karma Kitchen. This volunteer run restaurant uses 'pay it forward' method of payment. At the bottom of each bill, there is a little note that says something along the lines of 'your meal has been taken care of by a customer before you. Would you like to pay it forward to the person after you?' This social experiment tests the generosity of people today. Founder and volunteer Nipun Mehta explains how paying it forward for the next person builds compassion and a true sense of community.
